Got a 2015 axys 800 switchback 3600 miles on it put new plugs in after I rode couple hundred miles this year I seem to cage them once a year after I ride one day to burn out the extra oil I put in cylinders for storage, Friday I was about 8 miles back from the trailer and sled seemed to foul a plug then it came right out of it, then the next stop sign did it again then came right out of it again did it a couple times and it was a long day so it seemed fine once I got up and got going so got back to the truck took plugs out in the shop this morning and the electrode in both plugs was loose and slide up and down, had a friend who had this happen as well, anyone have this happen

NGK....NGK....NGK i sell outdoor power equipment and one of the manufacturers of equipment I sell does not want champion plugs in their equipment AT ALL and if their not good enough for your chainsaw or trimmer i wouldnt use them in anything I own thats gas powered, according to them the heat range that they claim is equivelant to is anything but. back in he day when i used champion plugs it seemed once they got a little wet they were done and they didnt seem to hold up to the high rpm 2 cycle abuse as well as NGK or Bosch, I have seen in my shop where the entire porcelain is loose in the metal portion of plug. I probably spend too much on plugs but due to what it takes to access plugs I run the NGK Irridium plugs. thin center electrode, more consistent concentrated spark, less surface area for deposits to form which cause the plug to foul

Aren’t the bpr9es the ones your manual tells you to use? And what makes you think the extra oil from storage is gonna hurt them, especially after a ‘couple hundred miles’??

I will take a look at the manual but it came with the champions and I always figured to use what it comes with. I leave the plugs in it from the year before for first ride figured not a big deal but probably just a touch richer with that little bit of oil so put new one's in for the year just wait til after first ride.
