Bought sled used with HD springs and is too stiff for its new rider we received the stock springs and are going to put them back on. Is there any tricks to changing these springs easier? Thanks!

Barrow or rent a puller for the idlers. Might as well replace the bearings while you're there.

Rest is pretty straight forward.

I just reassembled the skid on my wife's 04 f6. No need to pull any wheels to remove the springs as they're inboard of the springs on f-and sabre cats due to the narrower track. Raise the back of the sled up, remove the 2 bolts holding the rear of the skid up so it drops from the tunnel. Then remove the spring slides at the front of spring, being careful as the springs are under tension. They will then slide right off the top shaft. You might want to turn your spring adjusters to the lowest setting to reduce the spring tension before you begin. Just reverse to install
