Sunday. Left Pelican Lake WI and rode to Manistique the first day. Yes it was cold. Sure wish the trail still went from Escanaba to Gladstone and you did not have to go all the way to Munising first. Trails were excellent for over 90% of this whole trip.

Monday. Rode to Indian River in the lower peninsula. Crossing the bridge was easy from the North. Follow the signs to loading area. and $15 per sled. Yes it was cold more excellent trails.

Tuesday. Rode from Indian River to Manistique. There are no direction signs for the bridge pick up area in Mackinaw City. Cold outside.

Wednesday. Rode from Manistique to Iron Mountain. Real cold and about 18 inches of fresh of snow between Shingleton and Chatham.

Thursday. Rode back to Pelican Lake. Trails great when no body out due to the cold, About 920 miles.

Great trip! I, too wish the break in trail 2 could be fixed. At least a sign with phone for shuttle would be better than nothing

The club from Delta county (Escanaba) was supposed to be firming up something on that...at least that was the statement I remember when they joined the Hiawathaland Trails Assoc. (blanket org for 4 counties....Delta, Schoolcraft, Marquette, and Alger(Munising)).

How long ago was that? Maybe there's hope....it would be huge $$ for the towns in that region

That was in late fall 2015....so you see how fast things move....I know the bridge construction on US 2 interfered with some facet of it.

Note to OP: your title for thread is incorrect....trolls are creatures that live UNDER the bridge....i.e. downstate ;)

Very nice story, sounds like you had a good time other than the cold, these are the kind of stories I like to read, I wish more people would post them
