My buddies and I have been elk hunting in CO for a fair number of years (first or second archery season) now. We've been paying trespass fees to outfitters to hunt private ranches. We've all got elk, but looking to try something different. We've been talking about the San Juan wilderness area, just hiking in 4,5,6 miles, whatever. Just curioius if anyone has experience with the area.
