Why Denver? A booked flight and a car rental does not...... a planned trip make.

Steamboat Springs Area
Steamboat Lake Outfitters - I understand they are closed down right now
- Steamboat Lake Marina rents 600 RMK's - (I think this is the company that rented out of SLO in the past)
- 3.5 hour drive
- right now a little low on snow

Grand Mesa
- lodging and rentals: http://www.thundermountainlodge.net
- 5 hour drive
- light on snow again

Snowies
- 3 hour drive
- average snow on the ground
- Yamaha sled rentals
- poor trail system

Grand Lake
- I don't know much about this area
- 3 hour drive
- low snow right now
- looks to be your best bet...

If you have an Iphone or Ipad, download an app by Polaris called "Snow Trails" it shows all trail systems in the US... It will give you a good idea as to what options you have for your trail day.

Grand Lake has good trail and off trail riding but can be very busy on the weekend. Try to return to Denver any day but Sunday as the traffic is terrible.

The new name of SLO is Hahn's Peak Roadhouse. They have a website. Looks like they are doing well. Still have sled rentals.
