Conditions around St. Ignace/Drummond Island?

Looking to take a trip next week to the SE corner of the MI UP. St. Ignace, Mackinac Island, DeTour Village, Drummond Island, Sault Ste Marie area. Does anyone have any trail reports, or places to see/avoid? Never been out that way. Thanks!

The ice bridge to Mackinac Island is not frozen yet - still open water - according to a hotel operating on the island and open in the winter. Is a rare winter that the ice bridge is frozen before the end of January.

Groomers post frequently.

There is NO Ice Bridge yet and speculation being probably not at all this year.

They are also having problems with one of there trails having constant water holes in the Straits trail system, and they are honest on their site. Drummond Island says to stay away from the entire east side of the island. I would highly recommend changing your trip location.
