Conditions

Usually stay away from that area because of traffic but being during the week should be ok, but looking for other places to go because we will be up for four days, thanks

Keep me informed on what you find Pwolfy, 3-4 of us are heading up next Sunday for 3-4 days. I believe the area is expecting some clippers and more LES later this week also.

Just got home last night from Kip's open house in Greenland, snow is good from there north to the bridge which you can not cross yet. I led the demo rides and put on 100 miles, 5 miles at a time. Dave and Lori panned from South Range to Mass at the 4 way split. Great open house at Pat's Motor Sports!!

Will do Firefighter, thx DWZ, things are pretty quiet on here today, thought there would be more reports, maybe theyre all driving home yet and will report later

Trail 109 has not been panned, trail 13 has not been panned. Water puddles on 109 need to freeze up. Snow drops off dramatically as you go south on 109. There was a lot of sleds riding up and down trail 3, some gravel starting to show. I did not go north of Twin Lakes at all. Hopefully more snow arrives. If one is not familiar with the area, staying on trail is advised, or this might happen. FB_IMG_1512923277961.jpg

We found a mixed bag of things but nothing bad. Left Sidnaw on the grade and headed West to Kenton,Grade was fine with some stones but not many, took the logging roads and tried to cross a small creek and got buried for 4 hours, , bad move, got it out and went back to Sidnaw and went to Mass from there, that was very good because mostly roads , was groomed the last 10 miles. Took Bill Nichols to Parkview and that was awesome. Wednesday AM went North to Toivola and turned around because it got rough . Went back to Mass and over to Ontonagon mostly fireroads but noticed and heard the Groomer had been out. Took Norwich road about 25 miles South and hit Trail 8 RR Grade to Bergland , was not groomed but was a blast with about a foot of powder and untouched. Had lunch at Bergland Bay Bar , terrific Beef Sandwich. Headed East toward Bruces Crossing and was a lot of fun and nice. Took 3 North to Greenland and that had just been Panned and was fine. Took trail back to Sidnaw and that was awesome all the way with plenty of snow.Great ride but should have waited a couple days because now it sounds like most trails everywhere are being groomed. Merry Chrismas everyone. Be Safe and have fun.

We are coming up and staying at the Parkview Sunday-Tuesday, thanks for the update. Looks like we can head in all directions to ride some good snow.

Is Norwich Road plowed normally or is it a dual use road?

I think its usually plowed but they didnt get it plowed from the 6 inches of fresh overnight, after we left Bergland on our way back East the plow truck was just turning on it , so was perfect timing.

We rode out of Rockland and up to Twin Lakes. Grade was good. Ended up hitting trail 13 from TL back down to Rockland. It was ungroomed and in good condition. There were definitely some.bumpy spots and a tree down but riding in 2 foot of ungroomed was fun. Plenty of water spots on about all trails but most easily passable. We're heading to Lake of the Clouds today, I'll post conditions. It's good early season riding.
