In my small circle of sled heads I am in charge of finding the snow and planning our rides. I use multiple sites for info. www.weatherunderground.com has a few cameras to scroll thru to see conditions in some michigan towns. There is also a section on the weather underground where a few weather stations report local snow depths. This info has been been very accurate as to how much snow has actually accumulated, then I like to back it up with a snow cam shot before we hit the road. Almost forgot to mention our supreme snow leader John Dee!!!

I think some folks aree going to like the looks of this 24 hr snow probability forecast from NCEP:
Click → Exceedance of NWS Winter Storm Watch/Warning Criteria.

Oh drat, the animated image doesn't show up, so you'll have to scroll down the right side of the page and find where it says Exceedance of NWS Winter Storm Watch/Warning Criteria , then click on the 24hr snow radio button.

Those are all great sites! I use several of them but the first place I check is right here. John's forcasts are usually dead on. Lets all say hats off to Mr. Dee for all he does for us!

If you want to get really weather man style dorky you can look in on the Accuweather.com forums. We've been talking about this storm since it showed up on the models last week. I also like the NWS page.
