Hello All!
The time in approaching for the dogs and mushers to hit the trails of the Keweenaw. The CopperDog races will be going on March 1-3. The impacts will be nearly identical to in previous years, with teams being on sections of the trail for select periods of time. The trails will NOT be closed for the races, so be aware of the teams as you are riding north of Calumet that weekend. They do have snowmobiles at the front of the race and sweeping in the rear for advance notification.
If you have not been up here to see the races, I strongly suggest you come check it out. It is an amazing thing! Certainly not something you get a chance to see too often!
Below is a map showing when the teams will be on which trails through the weekend.
