There was one caught on camera last week in Iowa county as well, only about 5 miles from my place. One of the guys that works for a local hunt club got the shots on his trail camera. Hasn't posted them anywhere, so far. Could be the same kitty. Not uncommon around here, so I don't think people are making much of the sightings anymore. A few years ago it was a big deal, but now, I think it's just kinda "neat" when it happens, but not big news. These critters travel a long way lookin' for love, and "greener grass" I guess. Always on the move.
