Could that have been snow?

John, I was watching the radar yesterday and it was a straight line of moisture from the gulf all the way to Canada. Wide and slow moving. We got 3.2 inches of rain already here in Houston County MN. Could a similar situation happen with cold temps? Never seen a slug of moisture like that. Wish I would've screen captured the image. Pretty impressive. Just don't ever remember a winter storm having that much available moisture.

It would certainly have been possible for some of the precip to have been snow with those same amounts of moisture falling. Areas like MO, IL, IN, MI, OH and most of WI were in the warm sector, but others were in the cold sector. Temps were just a tad bit too warm for snow. I know we were only a few degrees too warm in the first few thousand feet of the atmosphere to get snow. Cool things 3-4 degrees and it would have been snow.
