Stones churned up into the wolf river trail as well as just gravel in some wind blown spots. If you get off the grade there are some gems hiding off the beaten path as far as trails go. In Forest Co., take LMT trails over the 100 miler to find these. Some new snow is expected but I'd say the grades need 6" heavy wet to bury the gravel.
No first hand knowledge on the Pickerel trails but pretty much the same all over the northwoods....some good but the heavy used are trash.
