I'm looking at that weekend or the parts of the next week too. Current forecast doesn't look very good.

ER started adventure riding reports which means burn thrus , snirt and thin coverage. Vilas needs a dump badly to come near to anything goodish. Just 1 of those years unfortunately.

I am up in Vilas right now, we had about 2" of snow overnight. It was 40 up here on Tuesday and the sun did some damage. New snow made it all white again but its 29 at 11am today and the forecast is showing 41 for Saturday and more 30's than 20's.

Its that time of year unfortunately when it gets iffy. Like Whitedust said, they need a good dump up here.

If we head up when we're looking (the 10th) I'm guessing we'll have to keep driving and start in the UP. A lot can change in 2 weeks but it doesn't look promising right now. Should have stayed longer when we were up there 2 weeks ago!

Typical spring riding, roads will be bare, towns will suck, southern slopes and grades in sunlight go fast. But the woods will be good for while yet. Some of my best rides are in march when everybody else is done for year. Just have to plan and get creative with your routes.

Very accurate.

only got about 1 inch of snow. Tried to make it to Sugar Camp and had to turn around. Dirt trails and overheating issues. Rode up to Burnt Bridge last Sat and trails were good, but the 40 degree temps made a mess. Looks like the early season grooming with minimal snow has made the base real dirty. Brown trails for miles not just at road crossings.

Is winter really over? WTH. This sucks. Love the sport so much but can't justify dropping 15k on a new sled for only 4 weeks of riding.
