If all else fails, you're only 2 hours from the Keweenaw, no worries here at all.-Mezz
Rusty Sawblade in Amasa is closed and for sale. The Horseshoe down the street
is the only place in town for food and drink.
And another ole favorite of mine is gone. Had many good times there. If the price is right, might be a good buy for the right people. Only concern is an outsider coming into Amasa, better have some relatives living in area otherwise might not be treated so well.

A few years ago I met the owner, he was originally from Amasa but lived in Colorado. He wanted to give something back to his home town so he started the Sawblade and had a relative manage the business. I wonder why he decided to shut it down?
One time the owner made shaved venison tenderloin, flash fried in olive oil for us, wow! Saw the Red, White and Blues band there several times, these guys were really good. All local talent.

WAIT a MINUTE....what about "give you the shirt off there back" yooper attitude I keep hearin about?....LOL
So if an "outsider" bought it , probly stuck some money into that pit and tried to make a go of it.....The locals wouldn't like that?....added tax base is somehow bad for Amasa.....????....LOL....buy the first 2 locals that stop in a .50cent tapper and yur in the circle......LOL
Amasa has some wonderful people living there, but it is a very tight community. Like I said, better have some relation living there before moving in.
