Looking for a little info. Anyone, know what the current water temp is, of Bete Grise Bay, outside of Lac La Belle? Summer home in Eagle Harbor, be there from July 4th - 15th. Would love to bring my boat if water is "tolerable" 72f ?

thx, Jeff

Bring your boat, it won't care how cold the water is. :cool:It's alway's good to get out on the boat when it's hot out, Lake Superior isn't referred to as the BIG AIR CONDITIONER for nothing;) LOL!!!! On the serious side, I don't know of any bouy's that have surface temps on that side of the lake, my best guess would be around 63f+, but, that will depend on winds carrying in any warmer surface water, or, carrying it away. We have had an exceptionally mild spring with warm temps which have been leaning toward a tad above average. Worth boating on when it's uncomfortable on shore. You can alway's check the surface temps with your fish finder, or, stick your big toe in off the swim platform, or better yet, just take the plunge.-Mezz

Mezz, appreciate the feedback. I have been tracking the weather for a while now, hence the intrigue of towing it up 10 hrs. I guess its really a last minute decision, pending "that" weeks weather.

I have a ski boat, so really kids / watersport / swimming driven. I was hoping for 72f, which has happened a couple yrs back.
Anyhow, thanks again. Jeff

I hope you get some good weather! Calm and hot weather is somewhat rare, but it sure is an awesome experience to be out water skiing on the big lake. We had a super calm, 90 degree day a couple summers ago. We were wakeboarding a couple miles from shore on water like glass. I'll never forget that.

In Ontonagon the surface water temp has been between 58 and 63 last couple times I checked. Not sure what that translates to UP in the Keweenaw tough.
