My friend put Custom Axis on his new Sidewinder front and rear.....wow what a ride!!
"adjustability"?… adjustability (spelling/word...frnash ??) …
"adjustability"?
Never mind the forum's automated "spellerator" highlighting it in the message composition window as suspect, you got it right!
Darren think shocks would help that much on front of xtxs? In rear yes to me no rebound control is a huge problem with the CK imo.
I'm not really sure...that's why I'm asking. From what I see on reviews online either of them will for sure make an improvement in ride. From what i'm reading the shocks slowly go bad over time. Almost unnoticeable. If i'm not going to be upgrading my sleds due to nothing out there that I like better I will maybe upgrade the shocks before they crap out on me. If you get say 10,000 on a set of shocks before needing a rebuild, when did they actually start degrading the ride but you didn't really notice it since it happens slowly? at 5,000? 7,500? who knows???
That's kind of why I'm asking now. upgrading the shocks even though they are expensive is cheaper than buying a new sled.
My Yamaha's just did it at 10K miles no real problem Pat's rebuilt easy, quick and cheap. My Doos 3K miles and ride was terrible got sloppy rebuilt all the shocks much stiffer and better ride. In your case it is a choice of buying higher quality shocks for a smoother ride that has rebound for the rear suspension.... no rebound clicker on stock shocks. Your are correct you are buying an improved ride at the fraction of the cost of a new sled.
I have decided I'm not spending any money on the stock shocks. When they are done i'm moving on. That's the purpose of starting this thread. I guess not too many comments other than ours and 2 other guys.
