Bergstrom Triple Points with ski savers and shimmed skis. We have one set of triple points (8") with well over 12000 miles on them. If you talk to Scott, tell him I need that pair back before the first snow or the wife will be very unhappy.
They started on a 1000 Pantera, then an 800 Pantera and now an '07 Jag (w/ 128" track). My '09 Z1 Turbo LXR LE did not hit the snow until it had the above set up. No darting even with four stroke engine braking at high speeds!

Thanks guys. Spoke with Scott today and have 6" triple points with the ski savers and shims coming my way. Can't wait to see how the sled handles with this set up. All of your coments have given me some pretty high expectations and so did Scott on how great the sled will respond. Thanks again. Dawn

I emailed Berstrom a few weeks ago told him I needed a pair of ski savers. I did not hear from him go to the mailbox and he just sent them. He might not be the best getting back to you but he always gets what you need before it snows. Its always like Christmas when you get something in mail for the snowmobile.

Actyally the Yammy skis get a bad rap. It's more in the rubber bumper under the spindle that causes the problem. I put a plastic toilet shim (the wedge shaped ones) under the back side of the bumper which raises the front of the keel about 1/4" off the snow and no more darting. I used form a gasket and a brass screw to secure it to the rubber. There has been a lot of talk over at Totally Yamaha about shim mods being the cheap fix for darting. Makes for a completely different machine.
