looking for a little help on these belts-
fleet farm had both on sale - I was only interested in the better belt -the xtx, but fleet farm only had the hpx for the 800 summit - so I reluctantly bought one and kept the receipt-
I also bought 2 xtx belts for my 2005 600 renagade which I have used in the past and had very good luck with- I am pretty sure I put this belt on my 800 summit and also had good luck even though the Dayco code for the 600 is 5024 and the code for the 800 is 5025-
I am thinking about taking the cheap belt back and just using the good xtx belts on both the 600 and the 800- and just checking and adjusting the secondary on both if necessary.
Has anyone had good or bad result with these belts? I am a bit of a tight wad but I can honestly say I have used OEM belts and the Dayco xtx and have had good results with each- not to sure about the Dayco hpx though, and don't enjoy digging belt material wrapped around the primary-actually damaged the seal and took out the crank on the 800 a few years back-
thanks for your help
