I would like to respond to your locking my post below.

First, let me say my post was not meant to stir the pot. It was meant to be a "for your information" type post. I also never intended it to mean snowmobiling would be over for the year when I said "end of any normal snowmobile season." I meant that without bars and restaurants that this season would be different. At the time of my posting I missed the fact that the order was for only three weeks. Sorry about that.

If I did not post this, I'm sure within a few hours another member would have posted it. The only difference would be a nasty adjective before Whitmer's name.

My intent is not to troll any forum. I always intent to follow the forum rules. I do not think I push the envelope more than other members on this forum. It is obvious I do not dance to the same tune as other members here, but when I hear things like "covid is just the flu" I feel obligated to speak up. I think your bias towards me is showing.

Finally, I want to address why I'm even on this forum. I have been on this forum for many years but only in the last couple posting. I'm from the U.P. and this forum is not only about snowmobiling, but also about happenings in the U.P., and happenings in the U.P. concern me.

Just maybe because she's killing the U.P. Some businesses here only have the winter months to make it. People have to respect each other's wishes and that includes people who do not need to wear a mask. She's horrible, period! Over 300 times in the bible it speaks of not living in fear, tell me this, are we doing that now? I think the answer is pretty clear. Being a business owner I rarely post about politics, but to be honest I'm tired of staying quiet while others say whatever they want and condemn others for speaking. Makes me sick!

Reading thru the " Mi restaurants and bars shutdown " thread , many comments are basically suggesting and agreeing to what MP orig posted. And that was things are/will be different going forward. Maybe he should have added a .

You HAVE to understand how grave a situation this is for many MI business Owners. Please be sensitive to your audience and how your wording helps or hurts others especially those that are already experiencing difficult times.

Sorry you feel I have a bias towards you Midwest Player. I go out of my way to be fair and unbiased when it comes to this discussion board. I appreciate you clarifying your purpose for posting what you did, but please understand that everyone has their own unique perspective on things and that my perspective was different. That was based on the nature of all of your posts in the past.

I could go on and on, but I think whitedust said it best. Please read his post (if you have not already) and try to understand and respect the other side. It will make for a more pleasant situation for all of us.

I started the thread about Michigan bars and restaurants. I'm not sure if this is directed at me, but to clear things up I haven't been on here in quite some time. I had no knowlege of whatever thread "MP" posted. I was simply seeing if anyone had anyone had thoughts about options for food/bathroom/warming stops and brainstorming for struggling business owners. My post quickly turned to opnions about politics and about covid, which was not my intention.

MP you don't come on here and put it nicely. You always come and post "like Russholio points out," with glee and almost a malicious tone to almost all of your posts. The post that John shut down was like waving a gigantic red flag in front of us. You wanted to literally stick it to us and were just waiting for the results of what you said. Honestly it feels like you have no love for those of us who love snowmobiling, motorcycles, atvs, or side-by-sides. I believe you would be much happier in a group that likes hiking, kayaking, or biking. You might be for the UP, but you are not for the majority of us on this site. So yes, you just are here to stir the pot and see who you can upset with your own agenda.
