Debt ceiling talks break down

I'm watching the President tell us that one week before default, the debt ceiling talks have broken down irreparably, and we need to figure out how to prevent the default.

OK, I have a single, two part question to ask, but before I do, take a deep breath. I am not asking for rants about either party, or Obama, or guns, or Muslims, or liberals, or conservatives, or Sea and Snow, or or, or...

So here goes:
The president has said that the default must be prevented
1) Do you think the president should cite section 4 of the Fourteenth amendment and just raise the debt ceiling?
2) If so, do you think he has the mangos big enough to do so?

Here is the section-
Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. I added the emphasis.

As info, Bill Clinton said today that he would cite the 14th amendment and just raise the debt ceiling, and fight it out in the courts.

And remember, the debt has been "authorized by law", as Congress passed the bills to do the spending.

They will figure it out sooner or later or bridge to more time by passing a temporary budget to keep things going. Getting down to grind time for sure.

Even he wouldn't be stupid enough to do that. Our bond rating would drop off the scale. If these morons don't make real spending cuts our bond rating is going down.
