As some of you likely read, there was an incident recently on Lake Gogebic where someone suffered a heart attack. I believe I read the first post, but then due to being busy with all my other work was not able to read all the follow up posts in that thread. It was pointed out to be my a business on Lake Gogebic that they had been accused of some improper behavior. I then promptly removed the thread due to the no bashing rule and have since been contacted by the business about some of the negative fallout from the thread.

I have agreed to allow them to post their side of the event and they sent me the following text:
"The restaurant closed at 9:00p.m. cst on that night in question. We left shortly before 9,I was not there,I knew nothing about this, until the following morning when a guest staying in one of our cabins told us about a boat tieing up to the dock. It had 5 people on it,the guest in the cabin drove 4 of the 5 people home,as the older man refused to leave his boat.
We had not heard about the man's medical issue until Sunday afternoon. The man's son called us on Sunday afternoon @ 3:30p.m.,but had already posted his nasty email on the John Dee website, 6 hours prior to his phone call. Since then the whole situtation has just snowballed out of control!!
I was NOT there!!
"

I am posting this to try and be fair to all parties involved. I have a no bashing rule for the main reason that there are almost always 2 sides to every story and usually one side cannot be told. I am not choosing sides on this issue, only allowing the other side of the story to be told. I can add that the business claims to have suffered from the post and for that I am very sorry. I wish I had seen the post with the bash in it and been able to remove it before any damage was done. The business has been very understanding of my situation, for which I am thankful and I think says something about them.

Most importantly, I hope and pray for a complete recovery of the individual with the heart issues.

This thread will be closed to any further posts. I would also like there to be no more further posts regarding this subject. It is between the parties involved, not this site or anyone that was not there.
