DESS questions

Can the dess system let you run the starter but no spark or is it all or none? I had a new tether programmed and a new battery put in within a week and now no spark.

I thought even if you put the wrong dess it will still start but will not move. I know when mine is put on wrong it will not move until its put on right. Do you have a problem with the kill switch?

I dont think its a normally open switch and it wont turn over if its off and will when u turn it on.

Dess performs as a tether/key. No spark with the tether installed on DESS post means ign issues (kill switch, coil, stator, wiring, cdi box). DESS's coded function (why it is programed) is to tell the CDI not to exceed a certain RPM. That is the theft prevention part of the DESS system.

Doo did have some kill switch problems my old 05 rev would act up at times

On my 04 revs not only will it not rev up it also beeps. I just rock and twist the dess a little and it's good to go, unless I happened to put my wifes dess and my sled and mine in hers. Done that a couple of times.
