dim lights

ok had some problems got part of them fixed i had no spark but it was a stator replace it fired it up run good then lights went dim would that be a voltage reg. since the original stator when out. bulbs r good they r very dim but was bright when i first started please any help ??

ok im a liitle lost where is the ground on this sled is it under the motor i removed the seat lookn for a bad wire nothing i believe its a ground issue too i made a ground wire from motor to sled chassie its get lights that way but i have no dash lights or tach ?? what can i look for any help will be app. i really dont have a sled shop close so i doing this with some help from a guy that now a little like me which isnt much thanks

also i noticed when i turn key off my lights come on until the motor dies but i also do have a tach could i have a bad voltage reg

Not sure which sled we are talking about,but it could be the voltage regulator. But i would look for voltage regulator there usually have a ground wire going to the chassis make sure its a clean good connection and check any other wire connections going to the frame the should also have a good clean connection also, if that doesnt work change the voltage regulator if you have a manual for the sled look in there it will tell u how to test the regulator or relay

Sorry didnt read all of the other post if its a ski doo definetly check the relay as Hotwire suggested
 
Voltage regulator: Regulates voltage...if bad does not regulate voltage any more. In turn the light bulbs (in most circomstances) on some of the lights will burn out. So if your lights are not burning out you can rule out tje voltage regulator
