Ok...So...I have to laugh.... I will admit I like to watch the discovery channel, and yes some might say i must be crazy to believe the things they show but I am one of those what if guys and I hope some day someone will either concretely prove or disprove myths that always catch people like me interest, I follow some of these programs quite closely but have even convinced my self that whatever they show is questionable or just plain BS to say the least. I have been following "coopers treasure" and again... a clue that leads to a clue that leads to a clue that leads to absolutely nowhere, but...… This really takes the cake..... Instead of looking for treasure or ship wrecks he is now convinced he has found an "alien ship"..... This is where I stop....alien ship? really? found no treasure so we now shift for ratings, seems to be the end result to most of discovery channels specials. What ever happened to the science and not the BS just for ratings. I have to laugh at some of the replies to the story... " this explains how nights templar made it to oak island" " found it right next to big foots vacation villa" how can they call this stuff reality tv

Haven't seen the show but watch Discovery every now and then. And like everyone else, we have about 200 channels with nothing worth watching quite often. Though I did get hooked on Ice Road Truckers a few years ago of which I have no explanation.

I think what you're referring to is "Jumping the Shark". It refers to the writers and producers that run out of ideas for a show or series. In this case it was during the declining years of Happy Days when the best they could come up with was to have "the Fonz" jump over a pool of sharks on water skis complete with leather jacket!?!? Here's a link in case you missed it along with some other examples of "Jumping the Shark".

Recently went to Malta and visited most of the sites except the Hypogeum. That location is extremely difficult to visit. Tried to reserve entry back in June and they were booked full.
The history of the sites is interesting especially based on how long ago they were initially established. The official interpretations do not answer who built the sites or for what they were intended. Seeing the immense structures does pose a question about how they did build these structures. They are impressive even in their eroded state. I can't even imagine how they built roofed structures with such huge stones.
It is also interesting that so many sites like these were built with such effort and then abandoned.
I can see how people would question who and why when seeing the sites.
