Catch (9 p.m. ET/PT).

The show, the first of a half dozen episodes devoted to Phil's final days, will open with the stroke he suffered on Jan. 29 while offloading his fishing boat, the Cornelia Marie, in the small Alaskan town of St. Paul. We'll also see the action taken by his sons, Josh and Jake, and the rest of the crew to get medical attention.

"Captain Phil was a father, fisherman, funny man and, most importantly for fans worldwide, a friend. We celebrate his life and all those he has touched through Deadliest Catch," said Clark Bunting, President and General Manager of Discovery Channel and Science Channel in a release. "I wish this would never have been a storyline of the series, but I am proud of the heart and emotion we have worked so hard to put into these very special episodes as a tribute to Phil."

Other highlights of the upcoming season:

On the July 6 episode, we'll see Phil rallying in the ICU in Anchorage.

On the July 13 episode, Capt. Phil loses his battle. (He died on Feb. 9 at age 53.) A special called After the Catch, airing immediately after that show at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with Capt. Phil being remembered with a Jazz Parade. The celebration brings together all the captains to pay tribute to their friend and colleague.

On July 20, two episodes air - the first showing the news of Capt. Phil's death making its way to the rest of the fleet - and the second devoted to remembering Capt. Phil, with never-before-seen footage, interviews with fellow captains and deckhands and memorable "Phil moments" from the past six seasons of Deadliest Catch.

Captain Phil was the most human of all the capts & treated his crew fairly. Compare Phil to Sig & I would work for Phil hands down. Phil cares........... Sig says 1 thing & does another every trip. Not sure Sig can continue with his methods & get results. Sig could learn about people from Captain Phil. RIP Captain Phil you did well.

RIP Capt. Phil, by far one of my favorite Captains on the show. DVR is the best invention, I won't miss an episode.

When I first started watching the show I thought about which boat I would most want to be on, and I decided the Northwestern with Cap't Sig. Then, last season I decided the Cornelia Marie was the best boat because of Cap't Phil and the way he treated his crew.
