You see the adds on the right side of this forum? Google Ads

I see the DNR is advertising free burn permits. They are spending money on ads for this?!?!?!
Blows my mind.

Just like at the S.A.W. meeting the DNR was talking about spending money to market to people who bought trail stickers and provided a email address. Spending money to send emails to these people reminding them to buy a trail sticker the following year.
If you need one you will buy it am i wrong?!?!?!?!?

They say this type of stuff costs little but they never calculate all the people employed salaries to do this stuff.
Spending $ on marketing things people will get regardless if they need it. Not because of some marketing campaign.
They are also buying other on line ads. (microsoft, facebook, etc)
This stuff kills me. This $ could be used for much better causes.

Sorry about the rant.

On some stuff maybe. But burn permit is something that you need any way, and they are free. Not going to recoup that money. With the trail permit, again you need it you get it that doesn't require a "reminder" to buy.
