I received an email this morning that I thought I'd share with the hopes that a JD'er or even Mr. Dee himself would want to represent. (I would if I was a MI resident.)

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources currently has a vacancy on the Michigan Trails Advisory Council’s Snowmobile Advisory Workgroup. This position would fill the vacant trail sponsor representative seat.

The purpose of the Snowmobile Advisory Workgroup is to assist the Michigan Trails Advisory Council in performing the duties and responsibilities of the workgroup and to provide the DNR advice related to the snowmobile program. This includes advice related to the creation, development, operation and maintenance of the designated snowmobile trail system. P.A. 451 of 1994, Section 324.82102.

The appointment is for two years, and members will be expected to participate in four meetings a year.

Interested applicants can send résumés to:

DNR-PRD
Attn: Paul Yauk, statewide trail coordinator
Constitution Hall 5N
525 W. Allegan St.
Lansing, MI 48933

Résumés must be postmarked by Aug. 1.

For more information, please contact Paul Yauk, statewide trail coordinator, at yaukp@michigan.gov or 517-284-6141.

Thanks for posting this. I wish I could apply, but the current state of things just would not let me put the time into it as I would like to. Perhaps the next go around for me!

Couple of guys over here are applying. Some pretty impressive resumes.
Mr Duke who is on the board lives in Munising. The guy has been a huge contributor to UP trail systems.
We are lucky to have him around.
