Doing my part to stimulate the economy

Just trying to help out Detroit. They are actually giving great deals on 2010's now. I paid less for this truck than I paid for the identical 2004. Wife picked out the color but I did notice it matches my sled.

Looks nice. Hopefully it will give you many years of trouble free enjoyment. Sounds like you either got a great deal for that truck or really over paid for your 2004 truck. Lol.

I have an 2010 F150 company truck and really like it the ride is excellent and has good power the milage is good much better than the Rangers I had in the past Mine has a 5.4 with the six speed which sometimes feels a little goofy but has not been consistant enough to take to the dealer

Great trucks! I have a 2004 with 190,000 on it and I just don't want to get rid of it.

So far we really like it. Only had it since Friday but took it to the cabin over the weekend so got a chance to put on some miles. It's really quiet and smooth. My 2004 had 125k on it and needed new tires and being the cheap sucker I am if I'd put new tires on it I would drive it until they were gone. So we decided to move it while it still had some value. It had been a great truck though! The differences I've noticed on the new one is that the 6 speed tranny shifts more, always trying to find the sweet spot, and the rear seat area is much bigger than my old one. I bet there's 6"'s more legroom in back. It came with the Synch system and that is a nice feature. It acts as the blue tooth for my blackberry so if my phone rings I just push the button on the steering wheel and start talking. or I can just say "call home" and it calls home and I can stay hands free. It goes in Friday to get the bedliner sprayed in so then I can start abusing it.

My wife just bought the same thing about 4 wks ago. Been to California and back already. On her way back out to Cali. right now. So far she has gotten 19.2 mpg with it. Has the 5.4 with 6 sp. auto. Damn nice trucks! Like that color blue you have on yours, sweet looking truck!

new f150

as a ford service manager the trans control module has adaptive learning to your driving style the trucks are rock solid , quiet , smooth, decent fuel economy, the trans shifts should straighten out after 1-2000 miles , synch system is awesome , got it in my 2010 mustang , jim

I have the same truck in Razor Red Metalic, 2009 model 51000 miles still on stock tires plenty of tread left. I tow with it weekly and have had zero problems. wish I would have gotten the sinc. love the blue, tossed a quarter to decide and it landed on red. maybe blue next time.

Like it, I have been trying to help out Detroit also. Here what I picked up, ( F150 Platinum ). It doesn't look exactly like this now for the last 2.5 weeks I have been stimulating the other parts of our economy ( small business ) and adding mods. Lift kit, tires & rims, husky floor mats, rhino Liner, Underliner bed cover, AV shades, and finally will get the fender flares painted black. I think what I'm waiting for the most with this is using the back-up camera, so I don't have to jump out and look where my hitch is 5 times to load the trailer. Do like the " sync " sometimes it drops out ??? Ford dealer claims it verizon ?

sync drop out

mjkalisak, if you are talking and phone loses signal, sync loses call just like phone , all sync is is bluetooth extension of phone able to download contacts and numbers , there are a few tech bulletins for 08-09 sync issues and one for 2010 for voice recognition due to microphone location and background noise , but not call drop or sync shutoff , jim

Almost forgot! Check your oil filter, it may be in contact with the lower rad hose! On my wife's truck it is touching, not too bad though. I'm going to try to index the hose when she gets back from Cali. For now I just wrapped a thin piece of rubber around it.

The Bluetooth connection between phone & car decomissioned itself ? I had to re-set up the primary phone again thru the touch control panel screen ? That's what I meant. It has only did it 1 time in 3 weeks. ( So far ) I should add ? I still am new to that technology so that is the best way I can put it ? I kind of like it..... Jury is still out on that feature. Never has dropped a call.
