Doing whatever it takes to win...

Unfortunately this is the new American way it seems...doing whatever it takes to win. Just a couple headlines form today's papers:

Whatever happened to good old honest competition? But I guess when we teach our 3 and 4 year old children that winning is everything and these same children are traveling around the country in organized sports leagues at ridiculous young ages, this is what we get as parents. Not solely blaming youth leagues on the countries dishonesty woes, but it has to start somewhere. Maybe 'us' parents put too much pressure on our children to 'win' instead of doing the best you can and better yet, be young and have fun...winning isn't everything.

And for government and public/private business ethics? Another day for that subject.
