If you're heading up to ride in the Keweenaw, the Marathon Gas station in Dollar Bay is closed and 4-sale!
Maybe this was posted before but I missed it....planned to get gas there on our way back from Calumet/Gay/
Lake Linden (Trail #122) today. Oops! we had to head over to Hancock and grind on the bare
pavement to get gas. There's a place further toward Lake Linden that advertised gas and would've been nice
if they would also say "Marathon closed ahead" we would've stopped there. Might be nice if there was a
listing of all gas stops we could check before heading out on the trails...and also would be nice if the gas
station owners would leave a little snow by one of the pumps for sleds..sometimes there's big snow banks all
around and bare pavement by the pumps. Makes me wonder if the plow drivers hate me!
