Quick background, I've had my own snowmobile my entire life starting at 10 years old with a kickstart SnoScoot. Rode with my dad for years, he hung up his helmet about a decade ago mainly due to cost. 2 years ago I finally saved up enough to get a 2020 XRS 850 (I've wanted an XRS forever.) In 2 years I have under 200 miles on it with 0 miles this season. I had a second child the end of January, so chasing snow isn't really an option. With the high temps coming I don't think I'll get a single mile on this year.
I don't need the money, but do I take a big loss and sell it for $4,000 less than I bought it for or just sit on it for another year and see if the market changes? I know the market is going to be flooded with 2024's and 25's that haven't sold. Do I hold on, or sell it and get a cheap 600 that wouldn't physically pain me to sit in my garage not getting miles on?
