Drive belt for Polaris

Hi,
I have a 2001 800XC SP and a 2003 600XC SP. Was wondering if polaris part number 3211080 and 3211087 are the same belt?
I believe both sleds call for the 3211080.
Are there any differences between these two?
Both sleds are stock with no modifications on the clutches.
Thanks!

I just did a general search for 3211087 on the Polaris parts site and it doesn't exist. You sure you have the right part number? You must mean the 3211078, which is a belt used on most of the sleds sized 550cc or smaller. The 3211080 was used on the 600 and up during the mid 2000s. I don't know if the angle is the same, the length is the same or if it's all the same just made from a better material. If I were you, I wouldn't try to cross them. I've seen the wrong belt on a sled and it either ends up being shredded, or it causes funny stuff with noise, early engagement, late engagement, etc.

It is the 080 and 087 respectively. I did find a drive belt matrix and it said the 087 is the close tolerance version of the 080. They are both listed for Edge, 2-stroke IQ and IQ RMK chassis. They are both the same width and side angle degree.
I also heard that the 080 is standard and the 087 is a softer compound.
