The Drift Toppers have groomed their grant-in-aid trails this week. This includes the Lester River Park trail and the Rice Lake trail. Both trails are in great condition going into the weekend. The State groomed the North Shore State Trail (NSST) this week and it is in good condition as well going into the weekend. We have a trail base depth of 6-10" on these trails with snow depths of about 20-30". No additional grooming is planned this weekend. Wet areas are still causing some issues but they did firm up over the week.

It may be a busy weekend; ride right and stay safe out there!

Was a great weekend to ride. We groomed the NSST on Friday and Saturday nights. The trail is in great condition and held up well to the heavy traffic. A few inches of fresh snow and cold will be all it takes to keep it in great shape.

3-4" of lake effect snow in the last 24hrs. The area trails are in great condition and riding should be great this weekend!

Quick update- If you like trails low on snow depth and bumpy, don't come to Duluth. The NSST is in the best condition of the year right now.

On the other hand, the local Drift Toppers Snowmobile Club needs a help fundraising. Their 1990 Tucker blew the engine last week and they are scrambling to get it rebuilt. Which i you know about the older Chrysler 360 Industrial motors, is not easy and not cheap. If you can help, them check out their website and Donate. The donate button is located about 3/4 of the way down the homepage. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=JldPHHyN6NLwQZK92X81cD9OfcditfX9tXiVAv9DFUySTbKVLB8ao7BtTkb3OoIoB_x5e0&country.x=US&locale.x=US
