Dumb question.

Any chance this warm weather and overbearingly bright sun will melt any of the lake ice enough to turn the LES back on for the Keweenaw this season?

Or are we done for?

Getting boring....lol!

There is actually enough open water to produce lake effect snow in the Keweenaw, although it would be diminished some, due to some ice on the lake. The main factor is the atmosphere. We are getting to the twilight of the lake effect season. Air temps can be cold here at the surface, but not always above the ground where it counts the most.

So I guess the bottom line is, the lake may still supply some LES or lake enhancement, but getting into spring snow season.
