Booked a trip in Eagle River for Feb 4,5. Staying at the Derby Inn. Any suggestions on trails to hit, good pit stops and where to go for good night life?

Burnt bridge is my favorite. Bauer’s Dam and the Carpenter both have great food. Sayner Pub is a really popular bar. I try to stay north of St Germain just to avoid traffic and all the stops. But there are several really good places to eat there. Blink Bonnie and Pub n Prime. I would also advise riding north to get out of Eagle river. Basically I avoid trail 70, too many stop signs. I would take a ride north up to Bond falls if you have Michigan stickers. If not, head west out of Lando Lakes.

Go North to Landolakes, Head west on Trail 5 (runs along Highway B). You can then head north to Bents Camp for lunch, trail dead ends at Bents unless you know the Cisco Chain of lakes but that will take you into Michigan. Head back to Trail 5, go west on 5 until you hit trail 6, that will take you towards Presque Isle, If you dont want to go as far as PI, go south on 15 (Stop at Goochs Bar north of Boulder Junction, or Headwaters in Boulder is good as well). Once in BJ, you can take Corridor 8 back toward Conover/Eagle River. If you go to Presque Isle, go south on Corridor 6 to Manitowish Waters, stop at Ye Olde Shelleghle, Little Bohemia, there are more places easy to get to Anglers Inn, Aberdeen, Chippewa. You can head south from there to Minocqua or back to ER several different ways. Trails are good right now, supposed to get 2-3" on Tuesday Wednesday of this week. That should fill up your two days.

Good plan. The loop thru PI will be close to 200 miles. Shillelagh is a great place, but little Bohemia has cool history with the Dillinger gang shootout. They still have all the bullet holes! If you’re at Bent’s camp you need to ride down the lake and check out the Lake Tahoe style homes. I’d prolly avoid P.I. and head west thru Boulder on 8 to 51 south. Then catch 10 back to Sayner or 3 down to Big Arbor Vitea lake. SLO’s Pub is popular and 4 seasons is a great supper club. Only been home since Friday and I’m ready to go back.
