These pics were taken on a trip the weekend of Jan. 20 2007. We stopped and rode in Indian River on Friday and then headed up to Raco and Brimley area in the Eastern U.P on Friday night and rode Saturday and Sunday morning. The first couple pics are from Indian River and the rest are from the Raco area. Overall it was an excellent trip and I never expected the conditions to be as good as they were. They were so good in fact that we are heading up again this coming weekend. The pictures tell the story. Enjoy!

Well we headed up this last weekend as I promised and the conditions were about the same as last weekend. Some trails were better, some were worse. I didnt take as many pictures this time but I have a few to share with you. We stayed and trout lake and this time managed to actually ride up to the Strongs and Raco area even though the snow in Trout Lake is still thin. The trail out of Trout Lake was all snirt so we rode the forestry roads up to M28. It was actually better than I expected and you could just watch the snow get deeper as we came closer to 28. Anyhow there were a lot more people this weekend than last and the trails held up very respectably. We arrived Saturday morning and only made it about 20 miles when my Uncles XLT melted down its second engine in two years (time for an upgrade) so the Arctic Cat Z 570 in the pictures is a rental. We rode the rest of Saturday afternoon with no problems and it snowed hard starting aroudn 6 p.m and by morning the most of the area north of 28 between strongs and raco had recieved about 3 or 4 inches of fresh which really helped out the railroad grade. Overall it was a fun trip for the second weekend in a row. I have two weekends off coming up and then we head to Michigamme the weekend after those. I can't wait. Hopefully I can get some lake riding in down here these next couple weekends.

Is that a 2007 Silverado or is that Ford picture is too small to tell. If its a Chevy nice choice. I love mine!
