There is a two wire connector in the wire harness behing the air box next to the steering post. Mine had black tape covering the connector. I found the same style connector at radio shack plugged it in and all set to go!
That is probably the same connector on my '10 cfi. I used it for the 12 volt outlet for the gps on my 10. Thanks, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.
