I have a 2010 ski doo gsx. I bought a new electric shield for my helmet. When I needed it the shield did not work. My wife pluged hers in my snowmobile and the same problem. Is there a fuse for this and if so where is it located.

On my 1200 XR chassis....the fuse box is a black plastic box behind the right side panel, above and to the right of the battery (if memory serves me). I don't know exactly how many fuses are in it, but I know there are more than two.

Not sure where it's located if you have the XP or XS chassis.

I do not know if you are testing it in the garage but they do not send power unless they are over a certain rpm.

That's true for Etecs. On the 1200 they are operational whenever the engine is running. However, on the 1200 grip and throttle warmers do not activate until 2000 rpm. Per the manual.

Gsxman -- what engine and chassis to you have? This will help us figure out your issue.

According to the 2013 manual you need to be at 2000 rpm to send power to the outlet. Don't know if it's different for 2010 or not. You can download the owner's manual from Doo's web site. If 2010 is the same, then that would likely explain why there is no power at idle.

Mine didn't work either, took it back to a dealer and he said I didn't have it pluged into the helmet correct..he was right, the rca plug into the helmet is inserted then twisted to lock down..works perfect now.
