I just got a free copy of Snowest in the mail. They have an excellent article with pictures that covers clutch and secondary service and valve cleaning. The article stressed being very careful around the valve slot since particles could get into the cylinder.
All the time, it's in my TECH TIPS FOR 600/700/800 CFI's thread posted here.
I wrap a shop rag around a 1" wide scraper, and apply Brake-clean or lacquer thinner, run it up and down in the exhaust bores a few times, gets all the "gummy stuff" out
Kraven, thats kinda what i was thinking, the goop looks like the stuff that came out
of my dads pipe stem when he cleaned it in the 70's,seems like you should try and
get it out.ill mabey use a paint stir stick with a rag and be careful
thanks for all the input.
