Experience with xtreme motorsports - Hammond, IN - good? bad?

I am going to have someone check the clutch alignment on my 06 Fusion 600. I bought it with 200 miles last year and it went through a couple belts so I have a feeling that the clutches aren't aligned. The closest Polaris dealer to where my sled is stored is xtreme motorsports in Hammond, IN. I've bought parts there but don't have any experience with their service department. Anyone worked with them before? Are they knowledgable? I don't want to throw my money away.

I have not heard good things about that place, but checking clutch alignment is very easy so they "Should" do fine. You can also just check it yourself, it is a very good thing to learn how to do.

I hear a good Polaris dealer is Lissy's across the border in Illinois

I bought my Skidoo there. I do not think the mechanics are bad but the service writer was the problem last year. People have brought things there then they do more work then they were suppose to. I do not know where your at but agree with the Lissy's thing. I do not have a Polaris but if I did it would go to Lissys.

Well I'd like to check it myself, but my Fusion 600 has electric start, which means the aftermarket doesn't make a tool for it, which means I have to buy the Polaris tool, which is $100 and would basically be specific to that sled. I called both Lissy's and xtreme, because my sled is stored close to xtreme and because I've heard good things about Lissy's, and they'll both adjust for 1 hour of shop time, which is about $80. Plus they hopefully know what they're doing unlike me.

The trouble with Lissy's is that they are extremely backed up right now (which probably means they know what they're doing), and it's a about an hour and 15 from where my sled is stored compared to about 10 minutes for xtreme (and I live about 2 hours from where my sled is stored). If, however, I'd be better off making the trip(s) out to Lissy's, I'd definitely be willing to do that. I was just hoping to find some good feedback about service at xtreme.

Check with the dealer. I know they put one on my 900 fusion at no cost to me. It was like a $150.00 belt. Maybe they did not put them on the 600. Just something to check on.
