Exploratory drilling in Iron County, WI for Mining

Wonder how this may effect the trails in these areas.

I had heard a rumor of this last fall and I wondered where exactly they were considering mining at. I guess now we know. I hope it goes thought. Could be my chance to move north!

Just go to Wakefield. They spent months drilling core samples north of town this winter. There is a lot of copper still down there and it will not be mined with open pits. Expect a new mining method.

If I recall when I was up in hurley area 2 weeks ago I heard they wanted to hopefully mine a few areas between hurley and mellon. I could be mistaken but I heard this while in iron belt.
