Very very sad, a very popular musky guide on the chain, prayers to the family and all involved,

WATERSMEET TOWNSHIP -- A snowmobile crash in Gogebic County has claimed the life of a Wisconsin man.

The Gogebic County Sheriff's Department reports that the accident happened at 7:10 p.m. Central time Thursday on the Cisco Chain of Lakes in Watersmeet Township.

Patrick B. Sheahan, 45, of Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, was traveling south through the channel when the snowmobile he was driving hit a tree. Sheahan was killed.

It is believed speed and poor visibility are contributing factors.

The crash remains under investigation as toxicology reports are pending.

Patrick was our guide once a year on the Cisco Chain. He was a friend, coworker, and the best guide on the chain... RIP Patrick.
