We have a place in Lakewood, was just up there over the weekend. Snow in the area is adequate at best but I assume if you travel north it will get better. Visibly less snow in Mountain so south is not recommended. If we get some snow this week and temps stay low you should be ok. Not trying to talk you out of going just trying to give you an honest take on current conditions.
I have to disagree. I have a place in Townsend and we rode about 400 Miles in that area this weekend. In fact 100 miles yesterday in area and everything had been groomed (Townsend, Lakewood, Chute Pond) Saturday night and in really good shape. Yes it was getting warm when we left yesterday and late Saturday it was beat, but it groomed out nicely, and with a little snow and cold, it should still be good to very good on Thursday. Good snow west towards Antigo as well as north, so you should be good to go. As stated, would drop in Lakewood and go from there. You can park right in town and the railroad grade is right there, as are other trails which will take you west.
Thanks for comments guys, figured they be pretty decent yet. Would like to use my Wi trail pass at least once this year.

Nope, not this week. Too much work going on and leaving for a 5 day trip on Saturday. But..........keep me in mind. Flexible schedule and would like to get out again. Goal of 2000 miles this year and only 711 in so far.
