Getting closer. Pulled boat last weekend. Washed it all up and stuck it in the back of the shed. Pulled sleds to front of shed. Be nice if we could get early freezup for a change.

Nope. Not even close. Accuweather says 26 for Oct 6. We will see.

Actually thought about turning on the heat. Haven't even looked at the thermostat in quite some time.

LOVE IT!! All the roof tops in the neighborhood were white this morning. I only had 39 degrees but ya the roofs where frosty!!

Thought slimcake would have floated away by now. SE MN has had about 15 feet of rain since May. We are as dry as a bone. We are going to get all of our moisture in snow I hope.

8 degrees here last night. We win the prize for coldest place in MN. 2 inches of snow on the ground and most of the leaves still on the trees.

Biggest concern is sugarbeets. Red River Valley is only at about 45% harvested. They should be close to done by now. 2 to 4 inches of snow for tonight again. Then it is supposed to dry off and warm up for next week. They need a good week to finish up everything. If they can't get the beets out before the ground freezes they are screwed. Didn't rain all summer and now pretty sloppy.

I am helping a friend with beet harvest this year, we started at midnight on the first and shut down at 2 AM on the 3rd, haven't started up again yet, and are still a couple of dry days away. I have some friends with a lot of potatoes still in the fields, that may be worse
