First Ride Of Season on New ProRMK

Was able to ride on Saturday for the first time. Rode on the western slope of the Tetons, just northEast of Driggs, Idaho. Could have used more snow for sure, but it was surprisingly good. Even found a couple north facing slopes that felt almost like February snow...well not really, but pretty good.

Love the new Pro! Biggest problem I had with it was it turning all the way over on carved turns. I'm learning to be less aggressive when initiating my turns (as compared to my previous 2010 RMK).

Yup, just stare at it is all I have done since it showed up this past Sept. Oh and added a few things to make it suit my needs a bit more.

PR1, what accessories/mods have you added?

I put on a J&T can...I wanted a little more sound than the stock can. I may have over done it...this thing is LOUD.

I also added a PowderKeg and a High-Jacker snowmobile jack -- I don't go anywhere without the High-Jacker -- saves my back big time.

Skylar, what do you ride now? I went from a 2005 Renegade 600 SDI, which I loved at the time when I did my riding in northern WI and the U.P? Then I moved out west and the Renegade just didn't cut it. Bought a 2010 RMK 800, which is an awesome sled and helped me learn to rip it up in the mountain back country. Rode that for 2 years and just bought the Pro (800). I still have the 2010 as a backup...traded in the Renegade for the Pro.

Never thought I'd need more power than the 600 SDI...until I started riding at 10,000 feet!

Wayne, aren't you close to retirement? Why don't you just most out West mister?!?

Most folks I talk to say that new pro was made by Christmas angels! :O

All joking aside, It took all my strength not to push my buddy off the Pro RMK he was riding last year at TML and give it a rip around... or at least ask if I could take a spin on 'er. :(

I have been on the semi retired thing for the last 4 years. I decided at 51 that I need to go back to work. I actually found my wife a job too, doing the books for our competitor. Hey it's work and it keeps her out of the stores. As part of Team Jamison we acquired a brand new 25' inline trailer that we had custom ordered from Neo trailer co. through Johns trailer at the Novi show. Did the taller ceiling and 16 oc flooring All aluminum even the rims. It showed up yesterday. This will work to get 4 long tracks to were ever we want to go.

I am on a 2007 RMK 600 155". Snowchecked it, now has 7400 miles on it. Now has the 2010 front end on it, skinz bumper, 2009 spindles, powderhound skis, and the used (700 miles on it) 2010 rear suspension I picked up for 300 bucks that arrived last Wednesday. Some day I will get the new pro. That thing is sweet, can't wait to ride it in some deeeeep stuff in da yoop.

Looks like you've done a good job keeping your ride updated....maybe you can retrofit a Pro-Ride chassis :)

I rode my new to me '11 this past saturday in da yoop and she ran pretty good. I just had to get some seat time on it even though the snow wasn't ideal. I can't wait to get it in some pow thats for sure. especially seeing how we canceled our first trip to the snowies a couple weeks ago. Let it snow!
