Had a good trip.

Saturday 12-18 222 miles. Started at the Budget Host in St. Ignace . A few thin spots on the RR grade to Moran. After that it was fine all the way through Hulbert to Paradise. Paradise needs to get with the program. They do not even have the fallen trees cleared from trails. Headed over through Raco and up to Mission Hill. Those trails were perfect. Back through Strongs to Iggy.

Sunday 12-19 104 miles. Budget Host to Trout lake the long way up 471?.
Then over to Rexton. Crappy near Rexton. Back towards Trout Lake and then back to Iggy on 2.

Great weekend!

St Ignace....It was that bad around Paradise ? I don't like Paradise for my own reasons, never seems to be Paradise for us. Always someone coming at me on my side , out of control, sled don't handle, too much booze, weekend warrior, whatever..... never fails, but the trails are normally good ? Thanks for the report.

I used to ride yearly in the central UP but honestly its mostly swamp land. One trip to the western UP and I'm not sure I'll go back to the central. The last 2 times I've been to the central UP I have sunk my sled on trail in swamp land. I swear I'll never go back and stick with the western UP.

We spend a lot of time around Paradise, and the trails are usually great. I know it is early yet, and some of their trails are in swampy areas, so those trails, I can understand that they really can't do anything with until they freeze better. But 2 of their other trails we went on that are on nice dry land had not even been touched. Many trees down that appear as though they have been down for a while.

Oh well, I know they usually do a great job, and we will be back up there in about 10 days, and I am sure they will have them all whipped into shape.
