Looks like the first big snows of the season will fall in portions of the NW Midwest later today through tomorrow. Snows of 6-10", with localized amounts to 12"+ are seen for northeast ND and NW MN.

Perhaps the first sloppy coating for some LES belts of northern WI and the western UP later Friday night into Saturday.

80 degrees yesterday, snow tonight, I will have to wait and see what we get, they are calling for up to 6" for us. I had to put long pants, shoes, and socks on today, have been wearing shorts and flip flops every day since early May.

Rain started here and temps dropping. The latest weather forecast is calling for ten inches for us. County guys scrambling to get plows on trucks. Lots of nice smooth fields right next to my house. It would be cool to get 50 miles on before the fifth of Oct.

43 degrees. Still raining. Supposed to switch over to snow at 1 AM. Apex pointed OUT. Have no real reason to be at work. I might get a jump on you guys. Still have to get the boat out of the water. Weird year.

I watched a couple of weather shows on the local news, and one had up to 16" in some parts of our area, I started the SBA today and like Grub, it is near the door pointed out. I will have to see what it looks like in the morning.

School called off. 3 inches of slop on roads. Really surprised snow is sticking to the roads as warm as it has recently been. 80 last Sunday. Still snowing hard. Power blinking on and off. Battery dead in Apex. Oh well at least the fire dept can take the day off from fighting DNR 'controlled burns'.

IMG_1831.jpg IMG_1832.jpg Here are some pictures, we have 2 or 3 inches of wet slop, it is melting, I picked the last of my tomatoes last night, the picture shows them this morning, other pics of boats waiting to get winterized. It is still snowing but lightly, they are saying it could pick up, we need a few more inches if I am going to ride the sled. IMG_1829.jpg IMG_1830.jpg

I am going to be in a lake extracting a friend's pier on Saturday morning. My nards are gonna hate me! My friend is stored my sleds since February-I owe him.
