My wife and I are going to Togwotee from Jan.28-Feb.1, we normally trail ride in the UP, Minn & Wis so we have signed up for intermediate trail riding with Rmk 600's ?? We are just taking our modular helmets and renting the rest of there. We are staying in the lodge , not the cabins with the Classic winter package they offer. We are both in our early 50's and have never been riding out west so I was hoping for some advice from someone who has alredy been to Togwotee for their guided trips

Trail Riding

Trail riding with the RMK 600's will be just fine. They do not rent fancy suits by any means so I would consider taking your suit and boots as well. Otherwise, you will be all set on the package. The trails at the end of the day will be super bumpy and trashed. It is like that everyday due to the high traffic around the lodge. It really is only the last 6 to 8 miles back though. Have fun!

ride over to Brooks lake one day. Nice place to warm up. We stayed at the lodge nice rooms, food was great. Happy hour was very neat sitting around meeting new people from all over. You will enjoy it :) The first pic is my favorite, just taken west of the lodge, second one is what happens alot off trail.

The one thing I would have to say is ditch the mod helmets and go out and buy a couple
openface and goggles.
When you are out there the air is thin and you can't catch your breath with a modular.
It's just one less thing your fighting out there, first thing you do when you get stuck is
take off your helmet so you can breath, and you will get stuck thats part of being in the mountains.
