Fishing the dells?

On one side of the dam, there is a parking lot provided by the Electric company for fisherman. It is well marked. Park there and walk down to the banks and cast below the dam for walleyes and smallmouth.
If you have a boat, launch from River's Edge resort and head toward the dam. Stay in the main channel and watch for shallows spots. You will be competing with the Ducks, the Jetboats, and the River Cruiser all day long. Fish the eddy pools for crappies.

Thanks blkhwkbob, I guess were staying on the river for a week, with another couple & there kids & ours... just looking for something else to do than drop $$$$ every day in town. I see your from des plaines, do they still have "the station" I think thats what it was called A diner where your order is served off of a model train. Oh what memory's.
I'm not sure about the Station. I think it might still be there-there is a little diner between Village Hall, the movie theater, and a newer shopping area. I think that might be it.
Just be careful if you go down river past River's Edge Resort. It gets very shallow and treacherous. You can do serious damage to any boat.
