I was hoping it would hit the arrowhead of MN, since they still have a good base up there, but if I have to rip around the yard at home I certainly will!! Looks the UP will be enjoying the brunt of this one.....

Your might be right. Looks like the higher terrain of eastern Baraga and western Marquette counties to be ground zero in the Midwest for this one. 24"+ likely. Quite a large area of Ontario between Lake Superior and the southern end of Hudson Bay could see 48"+. One of the biggest spring storms I have every seen.

Gotta love the irony!

Would the trails even be open? Picked up a new sled for the boy last w/e. He's itching to get some miles on rather than wait 9+ months. LOL! Seriously would consider heading that way if the trails will be open. No better social distancing!!!!!

I'm pretty sure the Bill Nichols trail is open year around, but that would really limit you. Not sure on the rest of the trails.

Munising east to Grand Marais and Seney. North of Newberry. All public land. Just worry about fuel, and if hotels are open. Trailer out to staging areas. Don't get stuck. Remember to bring food.

Good luck trailering your sleds up.

DNR stopped my four buddies that were heading up North to go fishing. Made them turn around and threatened to ticket them along with confiscating their equipment.

Sounds more like a bluff on the equipment, but the guy was an A-hole.

It sounds like DNR didn't get the message!

From The Daily Mining Gazette, Houghton, MI April 1, 2020,
(click →) "Police are not pulling drivers over for suspicion of violating executive orders",
quoted here, in part (emphasis is mine):

"A persistent rumor continues circulate throughout Michigan, including the western Upper Peninsula, that law enforcement agents are stopping motorists on suspicion of violating the state’s stay at home order. No, police cannot stop motorists on the simple suspicion that the driver is violating Michigan’s stay at home order, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

"In a published memorandum, Guidance on Traffic Stops, Nessel stated that no, police cannot pull motorists over for that alone. The memorandum was in response to rumors circulating throughout the state, as well as the Copper Country, that police are pulling motorists over under that suspicion."

Not if I see you first. HAHAHA.
JK Yea, I might be there, unless the band stays narrow and the heaviest snow is west of Marquette and across the Keweenaw. Then I'll ride there.

National weather service has really backed off on snowfall amounts for Houghton and Keweenaw counties.

Under achiever in most of the western UP, about what was expected in the central UP. Not many reports come in from the higher terrain of W Marquette and E Baraga counties.
